Pinhole Studies

I have always had an obsession with alternative photographic processes and cameras. I love the element of surprise that comes after setting up the camera and waiting 30 minutes (the exposure length for the skull image) just to see the capture. You can't perfect pinhole; you can't see the exact composition before making the image, or be certain the exposure will be correct. You just play, cross your fingers and wait. Anticipate. It's fun. I work as a retoucher and product photographer full time, which requires precision and accuracy. This process allows me to let go and experiment. For these shots I used a modified body cover for my Canon 5D Mark III that I purchased from Pinhole Resource, and received in the mail today. Just a few for now, but I can't wait to waste full weekends playing with this!
